Francesco Eredi, born in Ravenna around 1575 (or 1581) and died around 1629, is an Italian composer of sacred and secular music.1 Francesco Eredi (we find in some sources the form Heredi) was born in Ravenna on an undetermined date. Sources disagree as to the date of birth; some give October 10, 1575, others January 8, 1581. The earliest date seems more likely, given that already in 1599 Eredi was hired as a music teacher at the seminary.
