Gilbert Becaud Gilbert Bécaud (24 October 1927, Toulon - 18 December 2001, Boulogne-Billancourt) was a French singer, composer and actor.He gave concerts in Olympia 33 times during his life as a musician, earning the nickname 'Monsieur 100,000 Volts - 100,000 Volts Bey' due to his unique swing and the enthusiasm of his fans to break seats. He has always been in the memories as a personality full of energy and always on the move. With his polka dot tie, nearly four hundred songs, and his hand over his ear to make sure he's saying it right, he's in the memories.
